Does anybody still trust the global software and hardware developers?
Given the eternal "Windows Updating" and "Android Updating" carousel - does anyone now believe in the "Linux Updating" carousel?
I only make aufs kernels for others. Since the last Fossa-Low I made is overlay-capable & I made an s15pup32 simple-overlay as well as the s15pup64 versions, I personally have no use for aufs. More & more folk I share simple-overlay options with are seeing they don't really need aufs.

"Longterm" kernels like 6.1.x and 6.6.x exist specifically for people and organizations that don't want to update to a newer version with additional features, which also adds new bugs and new security issues. These kernels give you a time window of several years, where you get only fixes and don't need to be on the "carousel" like those constantly chasing the latest kernel, but also don't have to live with bugs and security issues that don't get fixed, out of fear that updating will fix some issues but might introduce others. It's the best of both worlds - you can update to the same kernel you had, plus fixes only.
