Congratulations! VoidPup has just been recognized with a Rising Star award by SourceForge. This honor is awarded only to select projects that have reached significant milestones in terms of downloads and user engagement from the SourceForge community.
This is a big achievement, as your project has qualified for this award out of over 500,000 open source projects on SourceForge. SourceForge sees nearly 30 million users per month looking for, and developing, open source software.
Congratulations for both. Using LXDE on a Pup was a significant departure and worthy of larger recognition.
VoidPup was the first of a new breed of Pups - one that uses official package manager of the adopted repos; long time coming, but the result is a more powerful Pup for all. Surely paves the way to a better future for all Pups. Only caveat: sysVinit. I'd go for runit in a later build if I was you (or did you already? - can't check right now) - runit pretty much as powerful/convenient/efficient services management as systemd, but without systemd... and would increase VoidPups overall compatibility with upstream Void packaging all the more (and, important... I've never heard anyone say anything negative/bad about runit).
Is there a LXDE addon which will work with Bionic 32? I want to check it out.
Yes - ydrv - visit viewtopic.php?p=550#p550 click the link and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Thanks, I did see it after I've posted and downloaded it. Will check it out.
Okay, I've checked it out. I can see why it would appeal to some (especially new users). It does take a bit more effort and knowledge to get JWM and ROX-filer configured the way you want it but I don't see any real benefits using LXDE instead. Matter of choice I suppose, I'll stick with JWM and ROX-filer.

A patch has been identified - a new version of aufs-5.10/15/16 is expected
There seems to be an aufs problem with kernel 5.16.12........
The system crashes when creating the new savearea on shutdown
The error messages mention au_fsctx_parse_monolithic
which is a function in: kernel-kit/aufs_sources/fs/aufs/fsctx.c
The workaround is to create an empty savefolder before booting the system.... or revert to 5.16.7
@Marv @mistfire @BarryK may be interested
I will raise an Issue on aufs at Github.
LATER: also applies to kernel-kit 5.15.25 - tested with slacko64_8.2.2-147
and also 5.10.103
Thanks for notifying the problem. That was too close on my side, which nearly published on next iteration of QuickPup64. I will stick to 5.16.10 for a while. Did you report it to AUFS developer?
J. R. Okajima has produced a patch for the aufs crash on shutdown and a new version of Kernel 5.16.12 has been built and uploaded.
Kernel-kit Github kernels 5.15 and 5.10 will still crash until an aufs update is issued.
Mr. peebee
5.16.13 is snappy & aufs happy.
Arigatô to all...
AUFS has been updated..... 5.16.16 is available - see above.
