@geo_c @Sofiya Here is the full real time kernel 6.1.46-rt14 (Overlayfs) ready for a test drive! The URL is for the KLV ready version that can be just swapped into a existing KLV system.
Probably not a whole lot of differences between 6.1.38-rt13 and 6.1.46-rt14

I'm setting up your new CE-1.2 right now. Thanks to you both for configuring cups and all the rest of the goodies in this OS.
Whatever icon theme is in here reminds me a lot of my customized rox icon collection, so I'm feeling right at home.
So basically I can drop this kernel package into any of the KLV's?
EDIT: Oh one other question, this save2flash icon, is that usable if I'm running a traditional install writing continuously to uppper_changes install, to save a backup for instance? Or does it simply save to wherever upper_changes are currently located if the changes are stored in ram, in other words only with a w_changes=ram2 boot?

it just saves where Upper_changes currently resides if the changes are stored in RAM, in other words, only on load w_changes=ram2

@Sofiya I have the 6.1.46-rt14 booting and operating so far well, in a KLV-Airedale

MMM... it's very interesting, I just see during the boot that right away that it's loading incorrectly for me, as a result, the system boots up, but the temperature of the sensors scales up to 75 degrees + the brightness is not regulated and I immediately turn it off manually so as not to ruin my car

Perhaps you are putting Nitro Fuel in a Honda Civic.
I have a couple laptops that run too hot in general to use an RT kernel set on performance. I can usually run them powersave or schedutil.

I am using the skeleton initrd-latest.gz with no modifications.
@Sofiya Try to use a different 01firmware that is proven to work better with your systems. I am interested to see if this improves the missing functions and high CPU temps.

@rockedge
You have both modules numbered 00 .
fixing from 00 firmware-6.1.46-rt14.sfs to 01 firmware-6.1.46-rt14.sfs fixed the boot issue . loads properly works great

Announcement:
Development has stopped
NO. this is a temporary phenomenon, it’s just that due to the onset of autumn my body is trying to go into hibernation. work continues, files are being added, everything is being configured, this is just happening on Gitlab.com
so feel free to collect ISO
I need to find time to assemble it and see what happens.

Damn, right now I’m assembling the assembly, I see that I have it as it was, for some reason Gitlab.com did not overwrite the plugin file, it turns out that I also need to check. The plugin has been replaced and overwritten .

Working on syntax highlighting in the terminal and (autosuggestions) - It suggests commands as you type based on history and completions .
also determines after entering if the program is missing then the syntax is red if the program is installed the syntax is green.
I will rewrite the script for KLA-Bspwm.
If everything goes as it should it will be beautiful and comfortable.

Interesting. Is zsh the default shell in this project? What happened to bash?
There is ble.sh for bash. Testing it now. It's a huge bash script. Works and is very colorful indeed, but doesn't seem to be significantly more convenient than the readline with some tweaked settings.

For now I’m thinking of making it the default or still leaving bash as the main one
nothing happened to bash, I just want a comfortable terminal
An interesting option, but something is wrong. I like proven things

What about fish then? It has syntax highlighting and autosuggestion built in.
(I don't use it myself. There is a serious problem with it - I don't like the background color of its current website. Need to wait for a redesign.)
---
Personally, I'd prefer to deal with one shell syntax. With so many scripts written in bash, an alternative shell seems to be just a colorful interactive toy.

the fish will not have a beautiful background color since it supports 24-bit true color, not 256

@Sofiya Just ran a build which had errors but finished the assembly.
I was also assembling right now and the assembly faltered, restarting the assembly was successful
At the moment this is the final version, I think there is nothing more to add to this version, the user can add everything else out of the box at will

@Sofiya I have seen that before and the fix seems to be to change:
Code: Select all
wget ‐‐continue https://rockedge.org/kernels/data/XBPS_packages/run-as-users-1.5_1.noarch.xbps
to
Code: Select all
wget ‐c https://rockedge.org/kernels/data/XBPS_packages/run-as-users-1.5_1.noarch.xbps
I changed all those code lines from --continue
to -c
