Simple things drive users away.

Maybe the colors of the names of the moderators can be changed to a more friendly pretty blue or green.
The bright orange is offensive to the eyes.

I absolutely ADORE orange. It's always been my favourite colour.....

bigpup's right, though. I use one of the dark board styles. A "friendly, pretty blue" does not show up at all well on here.....and when members use it, I have one hell of a job reading it. But those colours were chosen to be as compatible as possible with all the different "themes", y'see.

Mike. ;)

85% of the people that pass by looking at this forum do not have any option to adjust away your favorite color.
I will leave now, thanks for a reply.

Agent Orange was the most widely used herbicide in Vietnam, and the most potent. It was available in slightly different mixtures, sometimes referred to as Agent Orange I, Agent Orange II, Agent Orange III and “Super Orange.”

Well, that's a "first", I must say. A member who doesn't so much care about the OS itself, but who appears to be more concerned with the way the community presents itself.....and what the forums look like.

Strange way of going about things. Surf......surf.....surf......"Oh, yes! I like the look of this forum. Community seems nice. Now, what is it they actually DO? Would I be interested in it?"

Huh ???!?

Mike.

When I set up this forum I saw the admin's names were red. I thought to myself no one will miss seeing who is responsible for this mess. My name standing out like that, so with me taking on the role of "The Buck stops Here" guy I made it easy to see whom is to blame for this subversiveness.

Then sometime went by and I thought..... "it's lonely at the top" so took on a few that fear not the responsibility and I thought it's always a problem on other forums finding out who's in charge......so to help we decided orange is really the fashionable way to go.

Bottom line is this: My High School's colors were Orange and Black, and I played a lot of sports on teams representing the Shelton Gael's. So I bleed orange....... sorry, not sorry...... and if the colors representing position and or jobs on this forum seem too bold and off putting, enough to prevent people from wanting to try out Puppy Linux, perhaps those searching for better eye candy should look over at the other guys for relief and just blame me for my terrible interior design abilities. (my wife reminds me about that once a week at least)

Have one of my granddaughter's over the house, she asked me "Opa what are you doing?" while I was looking over the forum, so I asked her (she's 5) what colors should I make these names?

She picked "High Maintenance Pink". So there you go. I just told her go ask your Grammy since she knows best..........

Well Rock, my wife picks out my clothes colors, I am only responsible for wearing them, LOL.

And just in case you forget again, you are a treasure for the Puppy community, more fair and even handed than most of us. I think the huge majority here hold you in high regard.

Thanks for all you do, make'em any color you like.

When 100% of the people are 100% satisfied, it is the end of the human race! :o

Red for administrator
Orange for moderators

These colors are used by a lot of forums.

Example:
Ubuntu forum
https://ubuntuforums.org/showgroups.php ... 9b99796688
Debian Forum
https://forums.debian.net/viewforum.php?f=11

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I sell paint. I often have guys come into my shop to pick colours. They say things like "my wife will like that". I often sell them two tins of paint. One now, and one their wife likes next week :)
