Linux Mint 21.2 Chinese language debs

Linux Mint 21.2 "Victoria" 64 bit usb live iso was released on Jul 16, 2023. Linux Mint is a community-driven Linux distribution based on Ubuntu.

I have created 7 half-Chinese and 2 Chinese debs to provide Chinese support to Linux Mint 21.2 (linuxmint-21.2-xfce-64bit.iso):

(A) Half-Chinese debs:
1. fcitx64_4.2.9-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (26 mb)
2. fcitx564_5.0.14-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (116 mb)
3. gcin64_2.9.0-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (5 mb)
4. hime64_0.9.11-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (4 mb)
5. ibus64_1.5.26-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (47 mb)
6. scim64_1.4.18-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (16 mb)
7. yong64_2.5.0-en-zh-bookworm-121.7.4.deb (15 mb)

(B) Chinese debs:
Simplified Chinese: linuxmint-21.2-xfce-64bit-zhcn-121.7.4.deb (7 mb)

Traditional Chinese: linuxmint-21.2-xfce-64bit-zhhk-121.7.4.deb (5 mb)

(C) Functions:
1. the half-Chinese language debs under (A) will enable you to display and input Chinese in the English Linux Mint 21.2 system using 1 of the 7 input method platform:
a. fcitx - with 33 Chinese input methods
b. fcitx5 - with 11 Chinese input methods
c. gcin - with 16 Chinese input methods
d. hime - with 11 Chinese input methods
f. ibus - with 26 Chinese input methods
g. scim - with 23 Chinese input methods
h. yong - with 25 Chinese input methods

2. the name and version number corresponding Chinese language debs under (B) will give you Simplified Chinese (zhcn) or Traditional Chinese (zhhk) menus, icon labels, tooltips for Linux Mint 21.2. Please note that all Chinese language deb rely on a suitable half-Chinese language deb already installed to the system (see section C1 above)to provide Chinese input platform and Chinese fonts.

(D) Usuage
After bootup the live system, yon can activate the icake Chinese language pack by switching to super user (root):

1. open a terminal and type: sudo start; press enter

2. when ask for password, type: demo; press enter

3. to install the icake half-Chinese or Chinese language debs:

i. open a terminal (under the super user mode "root") and type: dpkg -i name-of-deb.deb; press enter
e.g. dpkg -i fcitx64_4.2.9-en-zh-bookworm.121.7.4.deb

ii. wait for the installation to finish and it will startx once. Then you can use the half-Chinese/Chinese deb installed.

iii. to activate Chinese input method:
a. open an application that allows user input (e.g. geany or firefox)

b. move cursor to user input area, press: "Ctrl+space" for fcitx, fcitx5, gcin, hime, scim or yong input platforms; "Super+space" for ibus input platform.

c. start entering key strokes according to the Chinese input method, a Chinese input window will pop-up on the screen with the available Chinese words for input
