EasyOS Bookworm-series 5.4.6 SFS available

Post by ghoen »

Tks for the good work!

I can see it in https://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/distr/eas ... /bookworm/
But it does not appear in the sfsget package bookworm window.

Greetings

Hmmm, yes...

Ah, found a bug in the rsync upload script.

What you have to do is delete folder /tmp/sfsget, then run sfsget again.

Looks and feels great! :thumbup2: (Posting from it now)

Creating the container went down with no fuss at all. Will keep using it for the rest of this evening as I would with 5.4.5.

"Get a pup", they said. "It'll be fun", they said. They where right!

Hi @BarryK ,

thank you much for the bookworm SFS. I've tried it, and it's working fine.

What is not (yet) available are other repos than the main repo, but normally I don't need these anyway.

What would be nice to have would be the package "motion" for detecting motion from webcams, record the parts where there's motion and give alarm.

I know that this is in Debian repo, just dunno in which. I'll search it tonight ....

Regards,

Berto

A minor problem.
Running the bookworm container in EasyOS 5.4.6 , I find that the desktop background cannot be permanently changed.
I have attempted to changed it through
Qwallpaper background image chooser ,
right clicking a desktop icon> Backdrop ,
and by
editing PuppyPin in ../Choices/ROX-Filer.
The background always reverts to the default.jpg upon reboot.

In the kirkstone container I can change the background permanently.

Hello team.

Can I copy initrd, vmunix and EFI from kirkstone and install this just as easyOS based on Kirkstone series?
The reason I am aksing is to mkae sure I odnt downlaod whole 650MB before knowing this will work. Data is still a costly affair where I live.

Thank you,

If you already have an earlier version installed, then yes.
Otherwise then no.

Just go to https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic. ... 560#p21560

enjoy
