Running Bionicpup64 8.0 x86_64 with i3 tiling window manager on my destkop PC.
I can't seem to adjust volume with keybinding of Alt-Up/Down. While music is playing entering amixer -q sset PCM 10%+ in the terminal to increase the volume works, but after editing the /root/.config/i3/config file with bindsym Alt+Up exec amixer -q sset PCM 10%+ saving and rebooting Alt+Up keycombo does not work. Same with volume down with Alt-Down... Any help will be appreciated.

Re: volume keyboard shortcuts not working in i3
@gychang
You should be setting the shortcut in JWM --> JWM hotkeys instead
EDIT: Ignore, hadn't read your post completely and that you are not using JWM

What program is playing the music?
