Vivaldi looks different after update

Post by szept »

I've already did the Vivaldi update few times, but I jumped back to the old version by not saving Easy's session, because something's going not right I think. No problem with the update to version 6 on Lubuntu as well as WIndows 7, but my address bar changes it width and I'm loosing few icons next to it.

This is the update notofication when I click on "Get the latest Vivaldi" from menu start.

I can manually reattach the missing icons, not sure about the size of address bar, but maybe I'd figure out that too. Just reporting as an inconvenient I guess.

The default look of Vivaldi has changed with the new version release. This change has nothing to do with EasyOS itself.

I do have latest Vivaldi on Lubuntu as well as Win7 and the bar icons stay the same... I'll share pictures once I switch to these OSes.

EDIT:
Screenshot from my Lubuntu - Vivaldi normal update.

On Win7 Vivaldi won't update to 6 ;(
But on Win 10 the top bar is fine as well.

Hi, I had one more look at Vivaldi.
The Vivaldi 6.1.xxxx. setup only offers to position the panel (for your tools) either left or right side of the browser window. I looked at the .deb packages for AMD64 as well as ARM64.

I'm not sure did I get you right, but my post is not about panel, it's about the top bar and that after Vivaldi's update I've lost few icons there.

Is it a Must ??

So you're suggesting I'd have to do it manually :/

No, no, of course, haha, what I said is that we must be used to do backups when everything works ok.

I learnt this by errors, haha.
