Which kernel module for iwlwifi?

Post by Berto »

@BarryK

which kernel module can I use for iwlwifi? There are 3 available. I load all? Debian Stretch says I need iwl 1000. Hm just seen, PupSysInfo says the same. On Netbook it automatically got connected to WiFi, but on ASUS Notebook I can only connect with USB tethering at the moment.
Debian Stretch says iwlwifi is missing (it doesn't work also, and I don't have the time to update the
apt sources.list, much research coz Stretch is archived now at Debian....

The kernel should automatically load the one it thinks appropriate.
You can find what modules are loaded by running this in a terminal:

Code: Select all

# lsmod

Okey thank you. I'll try tonight - after installing 5.4.1 on ASUS Notebook.
