[FossaPup64 9.0.5] My Save File became corrupted - so I started a new one. I want to find the links I've put in the previous Save File. Is there a folder with them, or something? (I've encountered a thread that sounded like this question - but it was about something else; so I'm asking about something like - if I dragged a photo file onto the Desktop, and a link was created - where is that link?)
Where are the Desktop links I've created (in a folder?) (solved)

ALL changes you make and what you want to save will be saved in the save file or save folder if you have one. So the record of those links were saved to your old save file and will be lost now if you don't have the old save file anymore. You will have to set up the links again.

If you can still open the old save in Rox file manager.
Navigate to root.
Select the eye icon to show hidden files.
Look in Choices -> ROX-filer -> PuppyPin
Open PuppyPin in a text editor to show what is in it.
The PuppyPin file should store the info about what is on the desktop.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Re: Where are the Desktop links I've created (in a folder?)
@bigpup - great! I've replaced the new PuppyPin file - with the previous ― and it restored everything back (so I deleted the backup I made of the current). (the other thread did mention that file ― I just didn't think it would be stored as text).
Thanks.
