Office 7.0 and xenial pup x64

Post by pp4mnklinux »

Hello everybody:

Is there any possibility to install libreoffice 7.0 in xenial pup x64 and make it works like libreoffice 6.1 ? I downloaded the program, installed it into opt folder but it doesn't start like the preinstalled libreoffice 6.1. It start with a white screen and I must go to the menu, file, open .... to start working.

Thanks a lot, for your help. Have a nice day u all.

Can you load it from the Puppy Package Manager?

Update databases then search for the new version?

I'm concerned about pre-installed apps that can't be uninstalled. It poses a problem when trying to install newer versions without a specialized program updater.

Cheers
