Xrandr's Resolution Adjuster 1.7

I bring you this program that meets the requirements to execute the change of screen resolution graphically and easily using xrandr
This program creates a script and adds a line inside .xinitrc that allows each login to activate the script avoiding the hassle of manually executing the script in each session.
SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT!!!
You must be SURE that the selected resolution is supported by the main monitor / screen
At the moment I have only tested this program on my cpu and its main monitor, I have not performed tests on external or extended screens so in this second case it may not work correctly
The external screen and / or extended screen options I'm still working on it
This program was tested on puppy (fossapup64 9.5, Devuanpup 9.6.0, Quickpup 20.0. #, Xenialpup 7.5, Groovypup64 and Precisely 5.8) and it worked without any problem.

In Fatdog WIN + scroll up activates the menu option. On my laptops touchpad that's WIN plus a two finger up slide action. A issue with the standard version of that is that it multiple activates (many windows) as the code currently stands. But does enable you to 'zoom' to different resolutions and to revert back again its a WIN + scroll down (or WIN + two finger downward slide on a touchpad).

Once zoomed you can pan around the screen by moving the mouse to screen edges.

I have been reviewing the information you share with me and I find it interesting although it only makes a "zoom" to the screen and navigates within its limits, it is useful in case you need to modify the current resolution without leaving "X" ...

this is how it appears on my computer

the two lowest resolutions are those that xrandr detects originally and the highest is the one that with my script create and execute

Zoom has options that will allow me to learn more and more about this topic, so I appreciate your attention.

Thank you very much for this tool. I have a Fujitsu D550/B and a 900x1600 monitor. I have tried a lot of Linux distro, even windoze but it doesn't natively support that monitor's resolution. So I ended up manually adding resolution via terminal each time I use the PC. This tool automates all that - very convenient. This finally ended my distro hopping for that PC. I've settled with Puppy linux as my main driver.

In fossapup64 we have /usr/bin/lxrandr

Does your app do anything extra?

Yes, first to all, this app only works in most pc (not laptop or when auto screen size in pc works fine)

This app make posible Save your settings ((screen size selected) and make an archive with the info needed and run this every time You started puppy or restart xorg

This info is not saved in The xorg com archive

I recomend use this app only IF your screen size doesnt keep The settings with the apps installed in your versión Of puppy
