Online Android Emulators

Post by amethyst »

I never thought that this existed but it does! Could be very useful instead of having to download an emulator which all of them are large and memory extensive. Useful apps like Opera Mini and Whatsapp will be cool to run without a phone. I'm not sure about data usage in terms of just loading/using the emulator online ( I have limited data so can't really check) nor the load on the machine. Anyone have tried it or want to try it and report how it goes? Apkonline.net is one.

The latest EasyOS has AppImage Installer, which offers AppImages to install, including Altus, a WhatsApp client:

I only tested that it started, didn't actually use it.

FYI WhatsApp do not like 3rd party clients to be used.

It's in their FAQ's

Unofficial apps are altered versions of WhatsApp, which means they’re developed by third-parties and violate our Terms of Service. We don't support these apps because we can't validate their security practices.

These apps put your privacy, security, and safety at risk. If you’re using them, there’s no guarantee your messages or your data, like your location or the files you share, will be private and secure. Your account might also be temporarily or permanently banned.
