Master pdf editor .pet does not work in FossaDog(SOLVED)

Hi all.
previously when I was using my System Bionicpup 8 64bit when I downloaded a " .pet file" with a double click on the icon it installed the application; now using FossaDog 20.04 I tried to install 'Master pdf editor pet file' - downloaded from the " Advanced Topics Additional Software (PETs, n' stuff) Documents section: master-pdf-editor_4.3.61_amd64.pet ------------ 9704184 bytes" - but it does not start and therefore the installation does not take place: I deduce that the ' .pet file' only work on Bionicpup?
Or am I missing some software in my FossaDog system?

You downloaded the Master pdf editor .pet from the Fossadog package manager?

I tried to look for it first in FossaDog manager but i didn't find it as 'master pdf editor'. Maybe it's not called that
but I assure you that in my Synaptic there isn't.

I downloaded from Advanced Topics Additional Software (PETs, n' stuff) Documents section: master-pdf-editor_4.3.61_amd64.pet in the forum.
I understand that for the Bionic64 system; but I thought it could also be installed on FossaDog 20.04; however on my FossaDog I have already tried to install file.pet and there was no way to start them. Certainly a lot of misunderstandings stem from my incompetence.

Here is a DOTPET of master-pdf-editor_4.3.61 for Bionic64.
On one version of Bionic64 tested,
I needed python-qt4_4.12.1+dfsg-2 installed from the PPM. With the second Bionic64, masterPDF started right away.
Probably could convert the PET into a masterPDF SFS version.

I made an improved version that will run directly in Fossapup64 and Bionic64 with the qt4 libs included!!

This is as a SFS so loading and unloading is easy!

Hi Sonia, at around the same time as rockedge I've made a master-pdf-editor_4.3.61_amd64.squashfs module, tested working on Fossadog , load it from pcmanfm right-click "Activate module" or place it in the frugal install "casper" folder to load at boot.

But NOTE, it has included the dependent qt4 libs but not "libsane" and "libaudio2", install these also with synaptic or apt:

Pet packages are not supported, only .deb (like all 'Dog' systems: https://debiandog.github.io/doglinux/, which are different from Puppy)

As I said earlier,you can also place the module in the "casper" folder, to always load it at boot.

If succeeded it would be good to add [SOLVED] (or similar) to the topic subject.
