Firefox vs. Aliexpress [solved]

Post by 8Geee »

For the past month I have not been able to purchase from aliexpress. I can login using a "return to" addition in the url, but no-go upon direct login attempt. Browser is FF78-15esr. Is anyone having a problem w/ aliexpress logins. If not what browser are you using... and if other FF versions are OK, which ones?

The errors I get are (xyz is a random number)

"Problem loading page" This also happens after a successful login... trying to click on an item generates the same error :?:

I can get to those pages... when I click on an item it will not open to allow purchase.

@ 8Geee

Clicked on several items and it took me to them -

Last was keyboards and got them -

Workaround -

Say if you want a particular item -

I will call it up and post the link here -

Then see if that gets it for you -

If you just want to browse the site then I'm afraid I can't help -

Best regards

I have only one problem with this site. It seems regardless of the browser type.
The site is constantly trying to switch its interface & all the names & descriptions of products to Russian. But I need it in English. The fact is that the translation of the inscriptions into Russian there is so wrong &, most importantly, funny... that I'm just laughing & I can't concentrate & find something

Fossapup OS, Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 64 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB, Sound Blaster Audigy Rx with amplifier + Yamaha speakers for loud sound, USB Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro V3 + headphones for quiet sound.

Here's an example of a link that will not work... generating an error.

Well, I found the problem... it seems a recent update to CLearURLs is the culprit. Unfortuneately, I put the iso in the DVD and the disk went bad... thats a first in about 20 years. Nonetheless, I'm moving forward, and marking this [solved].

In the meantime... this is being reported on Add-ons review. Most want either a white-list or a toggle-button. *EDIT* Place the "Manage Add-ons" button in the browser bar, and click upon ClearURLs blue pill to toggle on/off.
