CPU temp display for the desktop tray

Post by bigpup »

Note:
Program originally developed by ozsouth.

This is specifically tested in F96-CE
It may work in other Puppy versions, but it is slightly edited for working in F96-CE.

This is a CPU temp indicator that will be in the desktop tray.

It will give a constant readout of what the CPU temp is.

There are two pets that need to be installed.

CPU temp program

cpucurtemp64v3.pet

.
Sensor package

sensors64u.pet
(27.67 KiB) Downloaded 106 times

After installing both pets.

Restart graphical server to load it for this session.

Reboot making sure to update the save.
When save is updated. Should be loaded in tray form now on.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I installed poormanscputemp (or similar) last night. Works well. Its a DPup.pet that seems to work in Fossa64 and FP96. Dont have the link handy - sorry!

@bigpup I can confirm it works well with upup-22.04-jrb-A2.iso frugally installed to an internal SSD. Shows up in both jwm and bspwm (tint2 traybar-shown) window managers. :thumbup2:
