Here's a gui using gtkdialog and ffmpeg to view and edit image files. I made this similar to my gpdf program and used code from that and my ffpic program as well as some new code. You can resize ffmpeg supported image files as well as flip them and then save to bmp, jp2, jpg, pam, png, ppm, and tiff. You can open those file types as well as svg and xpm and possibly some others. There are also quality settings and pixel format selections when saving/converting your file.
