Hey,
How do I switch window manager to i3?
I installed all the i3 files in ppm and changed etc/windowmanager to i3 (and committed out jwm) but when I boot up I still get the jwm.
TIA,
David

try erasing the "jwm"s and just have "i3" (without the quotes) in the file.

which worked for you?, can u take a photo of the "summary screen" u r referring to?
Thanks for your patience.
i3 is working now.
Here is a picture of what I want to remove from the desktop.
Thanks,
David
That's conky. I think you can shut it off in Menu->Desktop->JWMdesk or in a terminal killall conky
There is a toggle switch script floating around that's conveniant. To remove it from the system boot is possible by removing the autostart script.
did inserting i3 instead of jwm in the /etc/windowmanager and reboot work?
