I'm trying to set up gmail just now and I'm having difficulty inserting an image into my question. I can see the insert image icon and I have saved a screenshot but the system is not letting me insert it between. The problem I'm trying to address relates to what I'm seeing in gmail which are icons but no text, I'm getting a series of entries along this line --EE' do I need to set up something else?
What do I need to modify to get Gmail working?

Insufficient information provided to enable any meaningful reply. We'll probably need the screenshot. It's size may be beyond what the Forum permits. You can use mtpaint or gimp to resize it. Or you can upload to such servers as https://postimages.org/, then provide a link in your post. You don't even have to register to use postimages.
Re: What do I need to modify to get Gmail working?
Thanks mikesir and my apologies for leaving it so long before getting back to this - a case of life getting in the way -
The image shows my problem. when I open an email and enter an addressee (me in this case) I get the addressee and the letters I entered to get the addressee in the first place. If I enter an email distribution list as the addressee the system does not give me that distribution list but one name off it and the 2/3 letter I typed in.
This may be a corruption caused by me as I have another Laptop which I haven't used for a while certainly before this problem manifested itself which doesn't display this problem.
I hope thats clear.

@LeithR :-
Just for info, when you want to "share" an image from PostImage, don't use the top option : "Link". You want to use the next one down : "Direct Link", and THEN enclose it with the image tags before you hit the 'Submit' button.
I've had a PostImage a/c for a few years now, and some of their share options DO take a bit of figuring out!
(For large images, you can select a 'live' thumbnail view - "Thumbnail for forums" - which when clicked on will open to the full-size image on their site. Saves space on our forum, y'see. You DON'T enclose this one with the image tags; you simply paste the entire thing as-is, and the code does what's necessary.)

Thanks Mike Walsh,.
Taking your advice. Lets hope this works.
@gychang,
Thanks for the suggestion and that works for individual addressees but it doesn't work with a distribution list.

@LeithR :-
Any time, mate. You'll find it's a much easier method of sharing images, once you get used to it.....because the same images can be "shared" to many different locations.
