Hello,
I should like to have the task bar in another place that at the bottom : upside, or to the left, or to the right.
So, I open JWM desk, and set the things as you can see there : https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21A ... ot&o=OneUp , apply, but it changes nothing. If I restart X, and open again JWM desk, the settings gone back to the previous setting, as you can see there : [url][https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=F4843C63 ... =OneUp/url]
Thank you for your help.

On terminal geany ~/.jwmrc-tray and edit the line valign= <Tray autohide="off" insert="right" x="0" y="-1" width="0" height="30" layer="above" layout="horizontal" halign="left" valign="bottom" > to place where, default is "bottom". "top" "center" etc.
then on terminal jwm -restart & and see if that worked.

This needs to be set to left.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Re: move the task bar Fossa64
Hello,
Thank you for your help gychang and bigup.
I found the culpable: the esmourgit's langpack_fr_WoofCE-20220302.pet.
I summarize what happened: I installed this langpack on Fossa64. All the desktop icons disappear, except the ones on the right (on the right of Conky), but the menu is in French, as well as the JRMdesk.
But it is no longer possible to configure where to place the taskbar.
Then, I uninstalled the langpack fr. JRMdesk is, again, in English, but works perfectly. But the menu is still in French! The disappeared icons do not come back. So I reinstalled the icons of my choice.
