6.0.13 64bit knl - superseded

Post by ozsouth »

Superseded.

If you still want to try it (with old puppies only), it is in Kernel archive:

Hi there

Can anyone let me know if this is compiled with APulse?

I'm still on ALSA.

Thanks!

@Jasper - Generally speaking, kernels don't impact the sound system choice. If alsa is the default in the Puppy you are using, it should be fine with my kernels. HOWEVER, if that Puppy defaults to pulseaudio - that would be an issue for you regardless of which kernel you use. Note Puppy web browsers are now being modified to use either sound system.

@ozsouth

Thank you for such a quick reply and explanation.

I had read the threads regarding browsers. It sounds like a pain, which has made me a little hesitant.

I will give it try and fingers crossed everything will work. The last build 6.06 was perfect for me :thumbup:

**EDIT**

I can confirm that the audio works perfect in my browser (Palemoon 31.3.31) and for playback on audio/video.
The firmware driver, picked up my WiFi card.

Your a legend!!! :thumbup2:
