chrome install script broken?

Tried three times today. Says "installed" and nothing...no folders/files in /.config or spot and seemingly a very small txz coming down into root. Gslapt said "installed" with a scant few folders (after I went thru both control panel and the menu). Perhaps this will resolve itself or someone will point out I don't know how to click.

It downloaded and installed for me. Would not start from the menu, but did from the terminal with

google-chrome-stable  --no-sandbox

google-chrome-spot won't run (which is also what the desktop file tries to launch) - complains about permissions.
Not going to use it though, just wanted to check if it worked or not.

As for your clicking.
In order to help you with this query, we need to know the following:
Which finger do you use?
Are you left or right handed?
Has it ever been up your nose?
Do you chew your nails?

Thank-you. Enjoyed that. Using another machine right now where it
starts from the menu...says it is 107.0.5304.87 (Official Build) (64-bit).
Will try again with hopefully a full download and the command line.
I was getting a download of 536-bytes--archive with empty folders and one script.
Thought it was just a slippery clickpad but its not (<= worked on that syntax).
