Changing application icon in JWM

Post by LLe »

I have download xvkbd in Vanilla Dpup, it has no icon, I managed to set an icon for it for desktop but not for everything else. So, how do I set an icon for an application in every menu?

Go to /usr/share/applications and find the .desktop file for xvkbd. Open it in a text editor (shift key + left click on it).
The "Icon=" parameter must specify the path to an existing icon and of course its name (e.g. Icon=/usr/share/pixmaps/...whatever_icon.png).
After editing, save the file and then you should see the icon in the menu.
