pMusic stutters when playing mp3, ogg files

Hi guys I have been using Puppy (Slacko64 7.0) for a while now but recently I've noticed some issues playing music more specifically with pMusic I've experience constant stutters when playing mp3 files or ogg files the odd is when I try to play those files from other programs like gnome mplayer or directly from google chrome search bar the playback goes hassle-free.

PS This is a 2gb netbook with an Intel Atom N2600 and no hdd the hdd is faulty so I've managed to boot from an 2gb sd card the netbook has uefi enabled in bios.

Could you be more descriptive about "stutters"? Does it stutter constantly or does it play ok for a while, then stop and start? Is what it's playing intelligible at all?

Please download an install the latest pmusic.
There has been reports of bad sound quality because of the builtin equalizer. This is removed in pmusic-6.0.3

Hi. Yes it's playing ok for a while an then stops and start but it does at random time whereas song is playing. It feels like when you're listening music on high cpu load usage.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion but I feel indebted if I don't tell it, the problem of sound stutter goes away if I boot clear/fresh puppy I mean without a savefolder.

Hi, sorry for the late I found this https://www.ecs.com.tw/cn/Product/Noteb ... cification except mine has 2GB at 1333MHz yes I'm using zram swap that came by default but weird was it wasn't even been touched it remains at 0K and I've hear about swappiness but I don't want to touch anything.
