Yes, I like how you can flip between code-view and WYSIWYG-view, and edit in both.

btw,
calling the file as # html-notepad pupradiohelp.htmldoes not work for me, but still opens the gui

the folder icon in the upper right brings up a file browser window and I can open a folder there, then select my file in the main window of the gui
I cannot navigate to and open a file directly from the file browser, only from the tree in the main gui sidebar.

No it won't, you will need to specify the path on the commandline, /usr/share/doc/pupradiohelp.html

When I was testing, I had the html-notepad executable and pupradiohelp.html in the same folder.

Oh dear, I am sorry, have just discovered that I cannot create a x32 PET.

HTML-NOTEPAD is partially closed-source. The closed-source part is 'libsciter-gtk.so' and the author has only provided it for arm32, arm64 and x64 for Linux.
If you really want it, you would have to contact him and request that he compile the library for x32.

I will edit my earlier post, remove the offer to create a 32-bit PET.

yes, the full path of the file would typically be needed. In my example, I neglected to mention sakura was opened in the directory containing the file.

my point in mentioning the inability to select the file to be edited directly from the file browser, I thought might be somehow connected to your inability to open a file from the command line in the later versions you tried.

I wonder what other features might be missing by using the earlier version, and if the failure to open a file from the command line in the earlier version is the only reason to avoid the latest?

Regarding absence of a 32-bit x86 version, others have complained:
