Puppy Utilities Center 2.8.1 (PUC-2.8) ==>NEW Update<== September 2021

Post by PipzDex »

Hello forum

Sharing my last version of PUC-2.8

Since the last version, I added some more functions.

MakeDEB and ExtractDEB added option to unzip using dpkg-deb

In this version I decided to make a script that allows the user to decide which script to work with (dpkg-deb or EXTRACTDEB)

in EXTRACTDEB and MULTIDEB script, added option to unzip using zstd as some .deb files use this compression format

fixed some issues with MULTIPET and multiTARGZXZ, apparently it works perfectly already

These are the most notable changes in this new version of PUC-2.8

Hope you like it and it works without any problem.
Any errors please tell me and we will review it as soon as possible.

Cheers !!

Hi PipzDex. Thanks for the pet, :thumbup2: which as backi said is very useful. I actually put it to use to build Zim with some plugins, viewtopic.php?p=6293#p6293.

However, when you get a chance you may want to examine the code taersh used in PaDS 1.1.6. and his explanation why an upgrade from 1.1.4 was necessary, viewtopic.php?f=106&t=933. In building Zim, after using the multi-deb module to extract the many debs, and the make SFS module to combine the files, I then had to use Extract SFS and copy and manually move libraries before rebuilding the SFS.

Still, having a suite of tools all available via right-click makes getting things done much easier. So, thanks again.

Hi Mikeslr

about multideb, i was finally made the update from that part, now you can make a massive undeb without the extension problem (gz or xz), and added a new function based on that deb function

I hope this time this pet has a completly working functions

Thankyou for all and yes, i'm checking every pet with the intention of learning more everyday

cheers! :thumbup2:

I just noticed the buttons being overlapped by the window size! Looks the same as @bigpup posted. The cosmetic shortcomings not at all effecting the program's operation.

Hi @bigpup @rockedge

I apologize for this mistake

That problem was a detail that at the time I did not know how to solve (the auto-adjustment of the window)

in the image i presented i was using dark theme and flat-remix icon theme so it looks complete and smooth

If you can help me solving this problem, I will gladly appreciate your support and knowledge.

At the moment I don't have a computer, the one I had simply came to an end, for this reason I ask for your support to modify the code and in the process learn from you

I appreciate your time and the use/test of my pets

Cheers! :thumbup2:
