Hiya

Are you using JWM?

If so, Menu - Desktop - JWMDesk Manager

It is on the "Tray" tab. Change the "AutohIde" option.

Hope that helps

I think restarting X can sometimes help (save your unsaved work first).

@Gnimmelf :-

One question (if I may?)

Have you modified or added anything to your /root/.jwmrc-tray config file at all? I only ask, because on occasions in the past I've manually edited this file to make customized changes.....and if you make a single mistake with the syntax - a single character that's wrong, a space where there shouldn't be one, etc - the entire thing will refuse to show until you put things right again.

Like all Linux Bash scripting, it's quite fussy. Just a thought, like....I'm definitely no expert with this stuff. There's several reasons why this might have happened; for instance, the .jwmrc-tray file may have actually gone AWOL. I've had this happen on odd occasions in the past.... :o

Mike. ;)

solved via "jwmrc -tray restore" in jwm desk profiles :thumbup2:
