[SOLVED!] Screen Grab i cant grab screen with START MENU on it.

Im not begginer but i write here becouse problem is cosmetic, but i rly dont have idea how to bite this...

I like ScreenGrab App.

All work great becouse i configure it like this:

Print Screen give me full desktop window + puppy UI.

and

ctrl+ alt + Priny Screen give me only app window here firefox without puppy UI.

I have only one problem, when i press start menu. Print screen is OFF. When start menu is active, then i cant take any desktop photo, becouse my Print Screen key and other combination dont work. Any idea how i can grab screen with start menu on it?

I wont grabb Screen like on this Fossa app + start menu... on screen.

Screen grab UI looks like this i can copy (to clipboard - ctrl+V to paste example on discord) or save print screen this is rly great app.

I use TaS to make screenshots. If i want take a picture with menu opened (Puppy menu or any application) etc. i start TaS with delay eg. 5 seconds and in these 5 seconds i have to open menu to include it on screenshot.

Sorry zuzia, you'll have to provide us with more information. Which Puppy? Where did you get ScreenGrab? Is it this one, https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtop ... 8b#p419775?

If so, it was compiled 12 years ago by vovchik who AFAIK hasn't been around for 6 years and didn't become a member of this Forum. So the chances are slim that anyone is going to add a feature to or solve a bug in that application.

FWIW, I use TAS (Take-a-shot), which AFAIK can be installed via PPM in any Puppy; or if not can be downloaded from this link, https://www.forum.puppylinux.com/viewto ... =TAS#p2421 along with several other capture programs. It can capture Full-Screen, Window or region; and you can set the delay from 0 to 60 seconds, more than sufficient time to avoid capturing the menu. I use it often enough that I placed a launcher on my Taskbar.

Before switching to TAS I used mtpaint-scapshot. mtpaint is builtin to most (all?) Puppys and a screenshot can be triggered by pressing the PRT-SCN key. That can be inconvenient. So 01micko published the mtpaint-scapshot addon which gave it similar capabilities to those which TAS subsequently provided. I've attached a pet.

After taking a screenshot, immediately, automatically, mtpaint is opened for editing it. But, of course, you can immediately close it.

I switched to TAS because immediately after a snapshot is taken it will offer to take another. It also has a 'Burst Mode' which I haven't quite figured out. Rather, when needed, I uses TAG (Take a Gif) you can obtain from here, https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtop ... 5#p1056555,

Official help site. You can run from help menu in program. But i check and any info there. This is cross platform then probably bug. Or just my luck : )

I rly like that apps, but bug looking like this when start menu is active program not work with any keyboard shortcut, and also i cant use auto print screen after example 10s. I try all. But app work rly good, i not need more only that one bug is little anoing. I install it from bionic puppy package manager version like above. I use it 1 year but last time i wont screen my start menu and i find that bug.

Ok then i change time to more time and test again. SG also can take Screen Shot after some time.

I change timer to 10s from 5s and all work i think was bugged but now all work awesome Thank YOU! Stupid bug do from me super dumb person

BTW. This is not a bug it is just the opened menu is trapping the keys pressed.

Yes i know that, but good we find way to do screenshot with menu anyway. : ) i try this before that subject with defoult 5s timer but after changes all works, now also with defoult timer. If all work before i never wite here.
