Which exact Bionicpup?

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

@boof :-

Please, mate.....you really MUST learn to give us at least a few basic details.

If nothing else, for driver questions we at least need the Puppy version and if possible the kernel in use. The rtl8192cu driver has been in the kernel for a very long time, but from what I understand, the "in-kernel" version of this has always been rather flaky, and keeps on disconnecting.

I've got a whole bunch of drivers for the rtl8192cu, but they were all compiled at various times for many of the older 3- and 2-series kernels; Bill ( @rcrsn51 ) provided them as a tarball at the time, but has long since removed the download link. Fortunately, I downloaded them before he did so, and have hung onto them ever since then.....it's a common chipset, and they've been useful for a few folk recently.

I don't, however, have one for the k4.19.23 kernel - this comes with Bionicpup64 OOTB (IF this IS what you need it for.)

It's entirely possible @ozsouth might have one floating around somewhere; he's compiled quite a number of wireless drivers for newer 64-bit Puppies over the last year or two.

Mike. ;)

Ok, this would certainly work with Bionicpup64 release on the main page, but this doesn't account for any changes to the kernel.

@boof - I've made .pets for rtl 8192cu that blacklists old module, then removes it AND 3 others & loads new & will load new with future reboots if you save upon shutdown.
It loads, but compiled with warnings & uninstalling will not undo changes made, so Use At Own Risk.
