Is there a devx file available anywhere? I'd like to build a package from source...
Thank you

fossa devx and other stuff
I wasn't sure about fossa64, but often you'll find a Puppy's devx and other files --including many applications which weren't 'builtin'-- on the same repository from which the ISO is obtained. Sometimes they are not in the same folder as the ISO and you have to do a little searching. fossa's devx is located here, http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pe ... s-fossa64/.
Before compiling an application you may want to scan what's already available so as not to 'reinvent the wheel' and to use your talents and efforts creating something which doesn't already exist.

Re: devx for fossa?
Quickpet icon on desktop.
Run Quickpet->Useful
After selecting the devx sfs.
Ir will show several locations you can choose to download the devx sfs from.
ibiblio.org should always work as it is the main repository for Puppy.
But one of the others may be closer to your location.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected
