hi @cosin

that's a bad pic:)

it could be the gtk theme that is making it hard to read.

as for the icons it's an old bug i thought was fixed, so if you could tell me what exactly did you do before this happened i may figure out a fix.

I do it again. the same result.

fossapup64-9.5.iso + devx_fossapup64_9.5.sfs

first time, I set language to zh_TW (Taiwan),
this time,I set language to hsb_DE (Germany).

Menu > Utility > MoManager...
then edit desk_string just one line:
from
s%"trash"%%
to
s%"trash"%"Müll"%

save and quit,
first, see a hard to read window.

after restart X,
most of desktop icons disappear.

hi cosin,

fossapup has 2 /root/Choices/ROX-Filer/PuppyPin's one for the regular puppy and one for the barebones puppy with the adrv.sfs.
momanager is getting the original barebones PuppyPin directly from the puppy.sfs which is causing the problem.

I'm not good enough at scripting to fix that in momanager (also possibly /usr/sbin/fixdesk) so a solution is to quickly edit the puppy_fossapup64_9.5.sfs.

1 right click on it and choose uextract
2 in the extracted folder navigate to /root/Choices/ROX-Filer
3 delete PuppyPin
4 right click on PuppyPin-norm & duplicate, naming it to PuppyPin (keep PuppyPin-norm)
5 navigate out and right click on the extracted puppy.sfs folder and dir2sfs
6 rename the new .sfs to puppy_fossapup64_9.5.sfs and replace the original puppy.sfs with it

that will hopefully fix the icon issue.

attached is a momanager that should fix the colour issue. let me know if it works ok and i'll add it to the updates
