How to install Puppy to a USB drive?

The problem with using a lot of installer programs to do a Puppy Linux install to a USB drive.

The program is doing a good install.

But the boot loader files in the Puppy ISO are still written for booting from a CD/DVD install.
They work, but are coded to look on the wrong device. A CD/DVD not a USB.
The boot loader menu entries need to be changed for booting from a USB.

Puppy Installers, that are in a running Puppy version, know how to make the needed changes to the boot loader files.
So using these installers, they know what is needed for a USB install.

This is the best info I have found to work on a lot of different installer programs that are not specific Puppy installer programs.

I use Bionicpup64 and it has this :

Menu --> Setup --> Stickpup USB stick installer. I have used it many times. effortless and it works.

My favourite at the moment is Ventoy.

On my wife's new HP laptop with Windows 10 Virus edition OS,
it was the only one to work.

What a friggin' nightmare that was.
