Puppy & vmware (virtual machines ) :Getting windows 10 partition to run on Puppy

Post by sieger707 »

.. "open windows" will always gather dust ( aka they hardly ever get used ) .... "open windows" aka a windows install onto a physical partition as part of a multi/dual boot arrangement.
I opened this topic since once we get this running ....it will boost potential of Puppy so many X times.. A coveted linux world dream come true here on Puppy. I have a window 10 partition that I I'd like to run from Puppy linux via a virtual machine. Now this is not an ISO but an actual partition lying on the hard drive gathering dust . I have heard of https://www.nakivo.com/blog/vmware-p2v- ... lkthrough/ p2v conversion in Linux. Can we think of doing this here in Puppy ( after all ..dont "Puppies" like running towards "open windows" ? ) . Some pointers ?
