Dpup9.0.35 + VirtualBox won't start

Post by BobW »

Host RAM: 6020MB (5.8GB) total, 1934MB available

It starts booting normally, then it says "Starting X". Then I hear it bark twice.

Then it freezes.

The last line of VBox.log says, "NAT: Error occurred while sending ICMP error message"

If I disable APIC, it barks once then static then freezes. But now the quad cpu stays at ~25%
If I start with the option of no X, I get the prompt.

[Should this be posted in a more general subforum, for VB users?]

  • FossaPup64-9.5

  • Lenovo laptop, Ryzen5 3500U with Radeon Vega Graphics; Realtek wifi and sound - needs a higher kernel (>5.4)

  • Win10 with VirtualBox6.1

  • using LICK1.3.4 for dual boot

Try to enable 3D acceleration, it's in the VM display settings.
