Holiday season eye candy

Post by snoring_cat »

Here is a nice, small app that will get you in the Christmas mood. In your software installer such as Puppy Package Manager, there is an app called xsnow. Why not install it and give it a try. After installing, you will have a menu option called xsnow under Fun.

For all of you Puppy Linux users in the southern hemisphere, or by the equator, that white stuff floating around on your screen is supposed to be snow.

Hi BologneChe,

I updated my first post to be more descriptive and to also include a screenshot. xsnow is just like a screensaver, but it interacts with your desktop windows.

Tho it’s rare and sometimes despised here in the SE USA, we had a dusting of it Saturday morning. Enough to be pretty but not enough to hinder travel. I might give it a try as well

HP G71 Wins10 64 bit, 2.2ghz 320gb hdd, Bionicpup64 on a WD 500gb portable HDD.
