So, I wanted to try to run puppy as user Fido, to have restricted access and added security.
But it seems a lot of things do not work when using puppy as Fido.
I could not get the firewall to start!
And also I couldn't easily switch back to root. Is there a way to easily switch between being in Fido mode and Root mode?
And then I couldn't run my web-browser from spot when in Fido user. Why?
I also can't see the drives and partitions of hard-drives and usb's, is there a way of seeing them as user Fido?
I checked Barry's blog and he writes: "fido is not quite mature, so not yet recommended to be used".
I think Fido is an excellent idea, but does it work?
Also It is possible to to go back to permanently being logged in as Root, from the login and security manager, but is there a way to switch back to Fido mode without reinstalling?
