You need to tell us more if you want help. For instance, which version of Puppy Linux are you using? Perhaps something about your hardware.

Re: How to connect to Internet via wifi?
Need to know what specific Puppy version?
That tells us what connection wizards, you are going to have available to use.
Need to know if it is a laptop or desktop computer?
This is because laptops have a mechanical switch that can turn WIFI off/on. Desktops do not.
Need to know if the WIFI hardware is internal in computer or a WIFI adapter you plug into the computer.
If one you plug in.
Make and model?
First thing to try is selecting a network wizard to use, but without Puppy version info, we would be guessing what wizard it has.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Re: How to connect to Internet via wifi?
@fixedfury505 - if it is not a switch & you've tried all the connection options like bigpup suggested, is probably missing a driver or firmware.
We need to know which Puppy you used. Also, please run the following commands (exactly) in a terminal/console & post the results:
uname -r
dmesg | grep irmware
lspci -nn | grep etwork
If it is a usb wireless adaptor, instead of the last command, run: lsusb | grep W
and post any network/wifi results.

Re: How to connect to Internet via wifi?
On the off-chance that your question may have been interpreted to mean that there was a problem when what you only need to know now was something more basic:
On first boot-up all Puppies run a "first run wizard" part of which is to run the "internet connection wizard". You can always run either to change your settings. To run the Internet connection wizard directly, open Menu>Setup>Internet Connection Wizard, or Right-Click the Task-bar tool and select Setup Networking. See the screenshot here, viewtopic.php?p=47526#p47526. The tool in this screenshot looks sort-of-like a fan and is colored green. Your color may be different.
Running the Internet Connection Wizard and clicking the "Wired or Wireless ICON" will provide you with 3 choices, Simple Network Setup, Frisbee and Network Wizard. The problem is that I can not provide step-by-step instructions as to what to do without terminating my internet connection and loosing the ability to post. All I can say with confidence at this time is that:
Simple Network Setup is usually the easiest to navigate but AFAIK requires that it be connected (NOT reconfigured) on each boot-up: a simple click operation; and the first time you configure it will immediately prompt you about turning on the firewall. Sometime SNS fails on the first attempt but succeeds on the 2nd or 3rd retry.
Frisbee works on some systems if SNS doesn't. It is also the easiest to configure if you are using a Wifi-Extender as it will display it even after you've selected the main network. It does not prompt about turning the firewall on. Some Puppys require you to double-click a network displayed before you click the "Connect" button and will only then ask for the Password.
Network Wizard is the least intuitive; but may be the easiest to use with Ethernet and may work with Wifi if the other two fail.
I think once you've set one of the three as the module to use you have to run the Menu>>Internet Connection Wizard to change to another. Try Simple Network Wizard first.
