any Information?

The nearest big city to me is Rostov-on-Don. Prostitutes in the city began to ask clients if he was sick with coronavirus and if he had been vaccinated. They ask, but they don't ask to show the document about it. Stupid bitches :)

I didn't go myself. To me... a friend told me :)

An-225 - R.I.P.

Post by Grey »

We once discussed the largest and heavy airplane in the world at the forum. An-225 (Dream). There is nothing more to discuss. A few hours ago it was destroyed and no longer exists :( It existed only in a single copy.

The aircraft was created to carry the Buran spacecraft (an analogue of the Shuttle) "on its back":

The war is blind. It destroys everything, and everyone that it touches, leaving only trails of destructions and death. Around this corner of the world, we have a saying about wars: "the loser turns to dust, the winner turns to embers"

Both sides suffers. No matter who dies, Ukrainian or Russian, military or civilian, they are first and foremost, human. (And it is especially painful as I read somewhere that if a Ukrainian and a Russian stand side by side, wearing the same clothes, one won't even be able to know which is which, until they start to speak).

I pray that it ends quickly. Not only for this war, but for all wars in the world.
We are the pale blue dot, probably the only intelligent living beings in the nearest few thousand light years.
Human life is precious. All human life.

Sugar has almost disappeared from stores in my town. The one that can hardly be found is very expensive (it's good that I have honey and jam :) ).
This is due to the ongoing historical events. Commercial structures want to create increased demand and excitement and earn a lot of money. But I will tell you about another, rather funny moment.

New sweets with a reduced sugar content have appeared on sale (Red October chocolate factory). And they are called... "They stole the sugar" :) Yes, that's what it says in Russian on the wrapper of each candy. It also shows a thief carrying a bag of sugar into his truck, which the watchdogs are trying to stop.

This is how marketers are able to use any event for their advertising purposes :) :

You are only about 100 miles from the warzone. Frightening.

I'm not in Rostov. And even if I lived there, 100 miles is not a distance.
Edit: If we talk about rockets-missiles, it's better in the Truly off-topic.

Dogs vs. Technology

Post by Grey »

Here at once about dogs and about equipment and about military operations.

There is a Museum of Military Equipment on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.
The monument is called "Dedicated to the frontline Dog" aka "Frontline Dog".

I argued for a long time with my good friend (yes, we almost got into a fight ourselves :) ) about what kind of dog is depicted on the monument. He says that this is a kamikaze dog, which during the Second World War ran up to the tank with explosives on its back and blew it up. Well, what a kamikaze, I objected, if the dog is wearing a cape with a cross... this is a dog of the military medical service, which pulls the wounded from the battlefield and brings medicines.

Well, I have to admit that kamikaze animals have been used (and will be used in the future, no doubt and do not rely on robots). And the dog is lying on a tank caterpillar. But the cross...
The nose shines as usual, as everyone tries to touch and stroke it :) :
