savefile2dir 1.6
Convert savefile to savefolder
Note:
The save folder can only be made and used on a Linux format. (ext 2, 3, or 4)
This is the old forum topic:

Version 1.4 is good for any newer versions of Puppy.
Version 1.6 is for old versions of Puppy.
specifically for older puppies whose savefile contains "/dev/null". It uses "tar" to copy the files, not "cp".

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Re: savefile2dir 1.6 - Convert savefile to savefolder
Just to clarify, code in 'shutdownconfig' indicates that a "save-folder" is also available on other "LInux" filesystems, bigpup wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 11:23 am The save folder can only be made and used on a Linux format. (ext 2, 3, or 4)
i.e. "reiserfs, minix, btrfs, f2fs" as well as the ext ones.
(That's why 'f2StickPup' produces a usb stick with a second partition formated with "f2fs", and installs Puppy to it.)
