Re: Working mpv package for Bionic 32
Spell out what mpv stands for.
Are you asking about mpv (media player)?
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Re: Working mpv package for Bionic 32
I took a look in Bionic32 and PPM offers the Ubuntu build of version 0.27.2 of mpv.
I test installed it and it does seem to work. It drags in a few dependencies but nothing too problematic.
Is this version unsatisfactory for your requirements in some way?
In the past I have successfully compiled a slightly later version 0.29.2 from source in Stretch Pup, so it is possible but may not be the best way forward unless there is some specific need which can be achieved by the options at build time.

I did download 0.27 from the PPM but didn't have the patience to go on the goose chase for dependencies. Since you have already put together everything, will it be possible to upload it somewhere? The reason why I want to try it is because pEqualizer does not work for me with Gnome-Mplayer in Bionic 32 and VLC3 is very hard on my CPU. A VLC version 2 for Bionic 32 should also do.....

Re: Working mpv package for Bionic 32
All I did with Bionic32 was boot a fresh frugal, update PPM database, search for mpv, select it, then click the "Do It" button and PPM installed everything including the dependencies, so I did not need to hunt for anything and do not have a package to upload unfortunately. I don't appear to have a VLC-2 for Bionic either.

That's strange because that is exactly what I did, first updated the PPM and then downloaded mpv (with dependencies). I added the first 2 dependencies which it complained about and then got tired of it. Nevermind, I'm going to ditch Bionic and fall back on Stretch which does not have a problem with integrating pEqualizer. All the stuff works as it should do with Stretch. Thanks for the feedback.
