Digi Maker LiFePo4 Batteries 12 volts.

Post by April »

I thought to bring these battery suppliers to my puppy friends attention . Get in early because they will not last long. They have warehouse in the States and in Australia and are on ebay and amazon I think .

You need to buy a new battery for your rideon/motorbike/generator etc ? Go to Digi Marker web site and buy their LFP battery. It will last you 10 years at least. It will not shed acid or corrode. It will weigh half the weight of your present battery and will make you feel like a million dollars . It is a direct drop in replacement for lead acid rubbish.

They have 15 Ah ($95),30Ah ($190) ,100Ah($378) , 135 Ah($495) ,and 200Ah ($798) models . (AUD)

I have pulled the 15Ah and the 30Ah models apart and they have 136 mm by 33.5 mm cylindrical cells,4 off in series and 8 in the 30Ah.
Now they are not the same as others being sold. Others have pouch cells in them sometimes . These do not thats why they will go quickly.

The Australian State Governments have all enacted laws to steal your assets on your death. All legal paperwork is binned and all assets seized on one disgruntled child's complaint.Move them well before you die or go into a home.

While I mention it I bought a couple of 12 volt 120 Amphour batteries from a different supplier to put one in a tractor as a starter battery .They turned out to be pouch cells..Ugh.Useable though.
Its a 4 cylinder diesel motor and it starts just fine so that will fix that for the next 10 years or so. Cost $380 AUD

The other I'll' use on a security lighting install and I'm going to try boosting it to 27 volts for LED truck spotlights.

4 more arrived today and working away on the home front already . I have nowhere to store the previous lot atm .Just sitting on top .

Just make sure they are all around the same voltage ,series them up and connect them in . The solar system charges them. No mucking about with wires , BMS's and voltage meters etc. Just straight forward.

I have found these easy to work with . Most 12 volt battery chargers these days put out a regulated 14 volts tops.
That means you can connect them straight across your LFP's individually and tune up the voltage . Additionally if you wish you can use the output of your own inverter to power the charger and tune your individual voltages at the same time. So no grid power is needed . Handy if you are at sea.
