The Roman Empire survived for 500 years by providing everyone with bread and circuses. We are hell-bent on proving that bread isn't necessary.

Our Use of Internet Technology explained in this chart

Most visited site on the Internet! Not Google...A favorite among a cross-section of public users: TicToc...TicToc...TicTok ...BAM!

I would never have believed this, yet I wonder if this is a result of the Covid impact on the world or its changing demographic or ???

I'm on 3 out of 20. I better check my pulse to make sure I'm alive. Even so, I always seem to not have enough time to do everything in my long list of things I mean to do.

Of course, I've 'glanced' at more than 3 of these - got to keep up with what's out there, eh(?!), but just don't find any desire or need for them in my usual routine. In practice, I know of their existence, but don't know many of the details, but generally ask my kids for a summary of how they work and what they do - they seem to use everything. No wonder their computers are so overloaded with junk software of all sorts.

Ah, I'm up to 4 too - just noticed Facebook listed for two purposes. It's annoying though - keep meaning to never use it.

Also, I use Whatsapp now and then - owned by Facebook, but isn't in the diagram (unless counted in Live Receives).

I know of their existence

This is the first time I've heard of four, starting with Strava and ending with Slack (it's not Slackware, right? :) ).
Oh, I also don't know Imessage and Clubhouse.

And the Roman Empire fell! They are mostly American companies... will the American empire fall?

Hi. Don't you read magazines :) ? They clearly say that the people of the whole Earth will unite in... well, I don't remember exactly... in one "community", and then they will choose a common government and fly to Mars! :D

You seem to live nearby there. It is probably you who will tell us later that Canada has united with the United States on equal terms ;)

Different devices. Different approach.
