florence virtual keyboard 32 bit --xvkdb alternative

Post by mikeslr »

There's noting wrong with xvkdb. But for aesthetic reasons I wanted to change the colors it displays. I couldn't find any way to do so. Florence handles it under styles, http://florence.sourceforge.net/english/usage.html and can.

Support for Florence seems to have been dropped. Versions no longer are found by searching on pkgs.org. The attached was built-into xenialpup and obtained by running gnewpet. https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtop ... =75437&i=1. A far as I can see, the files it consist of won't interfere with any files on newer Puppys. But backup your Save and use at your own risk.

Re: florence virtual keyboard 64bit Under DpupBuster 64-bit

Post by mikeslr »

Just to mention that florence is an easy install via PPM under josejp2424's DpupBuster 64-bit. After installing you may want to edit its /usr/share/applications desktop file. I don't recall what its "Category" argument was. But it didn't appear to be something the JWM version I chose would recognize. I edited it to read:

Categories=X-Desktop
