perhaps you are not looking in the correct place?

where are you looking, and which files in particular are you missing?
and btw, what version did you install?

welcome

Do you mean that you can´t access your data partitions?

Generally, Puppy by default doesn´t mount the partitions automatically after boot (security reasons).

On the left bottom of the desktop should be in your Puppy the icons of all partitions in your PC (click on it and it will mount the partition and open a file manager with its content).

Or use programm called Pmount (menu->filesystem->Pmount).

perhaps you have created a save but fossa does not find it when re-booting?

please describe how you made your install?

hover your mouse over the icons in lower left, you should see filesystem: ext3, ext4 or fat 32. not iso9660

I am sure that the partition is correctly divided and not deleted or overwritten
I moved away from the logical drives and tampered with in primary, because my device is broken and I don't know where the pictures, files, etc. are located.
I know what I want here

Code: Select all

sda5 8:5 0 696.8G 0 part

I don't know if it is full or empty

1. click on sda1 icon in lower left of screen, rox should open a window.

2. click on sda5 icon in lower left of screen, rox should open a 2nd window.

3. please post a screenshot showing contents of both rox windows

open GParted program again and follow these steps:
select sda device
click on sda5 partition in the graphic display area (the partition should be highlighted now)
from GParted menu choose: Partition->information

it should display detailed info about sda5
post a screenshot

Just to make sure.
sda5 was the partition you had the pictures, files, etc.. on?

The Gparted image shows sda5 having no format (file system) or something is wrong with the format.

In Gparted.
Right click on sda5 partition.
Select check.
Select apply.

Does this check show any errors it found?
If yes.
What are they?

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.

This is not what I expected :o

If the files, pictures, etc.. you are looking for, were on the drive, before you did this:

When installing the system and partitioning the hard disk

If you did any changes to the partitioning that was on the drive.
You deleted what was on it.

If you take an area of the drive and partition it and format that new partition.
Everything that was in that area of the drive is deleted.
The partition is clean, with nothing in it.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.

I'm trying to understand the language with the help of an interpreter. Conclusion Either I wrote on the department or cleaned it up. Or there's a problem coordinating files in the department or another problem and so on.

Ok,
please do the check of sda5 with GParted as bigpup suggests and tell us if any errors were found.

And try to describe how did you do the partitioning of the disk step by step before the installation.
