The confrontation between Indian and Chinese border guards on the line of separation in East Ladakh continues; neither side intends to retreat. Since both sides avoid using weapons, India has come up with a way out by proposing to arm the border guards with stun guns.
The video, posted on the YouTube channel, demonstrates an electric trident, special gloves and a club (it lies on the table), all with stun guns, of course. The video description states that it is a non-lethal weapon designed to "temporarily incapacitate the enemy" in the event of "violent clashes."
The new items were developed by the Indian company UP-based Apasteron Pvt Ltd, their characteristics are not disclosed in the video. Unfortunately, it is not known what the discharge power is and how long the battery lasts. Judging by the demonstration, the charge there must be relatively powerful in order to temporarily incapacitate a healthy and prepared person.
On the one hand, this is progress, since in the past conflict (last year), sticks and stones were used. 20 people were killed, about 80 more were injured.
On the other hand... all this has already been invented:
