Good distro. I would recommend before Bionic & Focal for 32-bit machines with enough system resources to run a newer pup. One caveat is a loss of compatibility with older browsers (e.g., last Chrome, Opera). Xenial still seems to reach farthest both directions.

XFCE is visually striking and its crowded menus in Hirsute are still easier to navigate than JWM.
