Where can I find Lutris for Bionicpup?

Post by PuppyPenile »

Hi, I'm relatively new to puppy.

I cant seem to find lutris in the ppm. Please help, I'm looking to play WoW, fair warning I'm usually a windows user. However my windows crashed during a power outage became corrupt, and puppy was the easiest to boot up on a flashdrive with my old sony vaiso laptop to throw on my gaming laptop. I'm running bionic pup 64bit frugal install and have installed wine. I'm also having trouble getting the 32 bit compatibility, everytime I try it says "550 failed to change directory. No such directory 'pub/gnu+linux/puppylinux/pet_packages-bionic64' "

Thanks in advance,

Penile :D

Hello Penile,

I can help you....I need to feed lunch to my granddaughter so I'll be back soon to give you the steps to get Lutris to run in Bionic64!

I assume you are doing this using Quickpet->Useful
After selecting the 32bit compatibility SFS.
A window should open listing different repositories to choose from.
Pick another repository to download from.
ibiblio should work.
Or
Here is the direct download link
http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pe ... cpup64.sfs
Download to /mnt/home location
Load the sfs using menu->Setup->SFS-load-on-the-fly

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I tried this in FossaPup64 but the same procedure should work in Bionic64
using Pkg CLI from sc0ttman

Code: Select all

pkg repo-update
pkg add-repo ppa:lutris-team/lutris
pkg repo focal-lutristeam
pkg add lutris
with the PPM install python3-dbus_1.2.16

test run :

Code: Select all

lutris

Amazing Reply, I wanna just post a comment to say that LUTRIS WORKS with GeForce NOW (Linux/NVidia) and Xbox Wired or Wireless Controller Support!

It's the ONLY WAY it will work with Xbox Controllers or any of Gaming Pads. NOT Snap Store GeForce NOW.

Best FPS and Image/Video Quality Gaming compared to Windows, Far far away better.
