Problem attaching additional attachment to opening post

Post by amethyst »

I tried to attach an additional attachment to one of my opening posts (which already has 3 attachments). Wouldn't work. I had to make an additional post in the thread to attach it. :?

Yes this is normal operation of the forum.
Max Limit 3 attachments to a post.
You did the best thing you could do.
Just make a new post to the topic and attach to that post.

Also there is a max size limit per attachment. 512KiB.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

If using images, the only workaround I've used is to put the context and images into a pdf and upload that.

Or use an image-hosting service. I've used both Imgur and PostImages for quite some time.

With these, you can place them in-line with the text. Just wrap the URL with the <image> tags. There's no limit to the number of these you can place in a post, because it IS simply a link....

They even provide the ability for a clickable thumbnail, which will open to the full image size on the hosting site. This is ideal for larger images where you don't want to lose detail.

Mike. ;)
