Installed puppy 32x v19.03 from cd to a 4TB sata drive
hanging from a sata pci port card ....
gparted to 2+2TB to sda1 ext4 boot & sda2 ntfs
installed puppy 32x using all defaults ...
grub starts, says it can't boot the kernel upupbb19.03frugal from (hd0,0), why ?
next,
boot puppy from cd puppy 19.03, it recognizes sda1, sda2, and runs puppy
from sda1, recognizes all installed apps, I can install new apps, copy files, seems to run fine ... why ?
Check if the files are there, what's in the file bootconfig ?

Used a specific program?
Manual copy install?
Full install or frugal install?
Frugal is best way.
What?
any other Operating Systems on the drive?
If yes.
What OS's?
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.

new issue now tho with internet access,
does not configure dhcp dns & gateway servers, dhcp ip ok
