Afternoon, boys & girls.
Now then; here we are, at long last. Iron 88 has just recently been released.....so; here, for your enjoyment, is Iron-portable v88.0.4500.0.
-----------------------------------------
Everything is behaving itself with this release. SRWare caught everybody on the hop by releasing that 'quick' upgrade on v84, v85.....but I honestly think something was ever so slightly 'hinky' with v85. For me, at least, any attempt at scrolling resulted in stuttery, jerky behaviour, and various other things were nowhere near as smooth as I've come to expect from this fantastic browser. There again, perhaps it was the guys at the Chromium Project "experimenting" again; one or two of the mid-80's Chrome releases weren't as smooth as they could have been. Everybody else gets whatever code is served up to them, of course.....and just has to make of it what they can.
This time, as usual, everything is as smooth as so much oiled silk. It's all functioning beautifully.....including WideVine, for those NetFlix/Spotify/Hulu/Amazon Prime/whatever nuts among you. No sign of PepperFlash, of course; with this release, support has now finally been dropped for this dinosaur relic of yore.
Anyway, that's enough "maundering" from me!

You can find the new portables at the usual link in post #1. 32-bit and 64-bit are still both available, so keep your fingers crossed the 32-bit builds will continue for a while yet.... (Yay!!)
Mesdames et messieurs.....enjoy.
Mike.
